The Music and Performing Arts Archive of Navarre has been launched in association with the Royal and General Archive of Navarre to safeguard Navarre’s wealth of documentary heritage regarding music, dance and theatre through three lines of action:
Knowledge
- Identification and inventory of collections of interest to Navarre.
- Organisation, classification and archival processing of the documents entering the archive.
- Promotion of the heritage related to the three areas.
Conservation
- Recovery and protection of the heritage collections.
- Conservation and restoration of the documentation collected.
- Custody at facilities suited to their special characteristics.
Dissemination
- Description and creation of access tools so the documents can be consulted.
- Promotion of access and research to highlight their importance.
